Community InformationSherwood Park is the largest community in the Municipality of Strathcona County with over 60,000 residents. Located on the eastern edge of Edmonton, Sherwood Park is a dynamic community that boasts a number of excellent recreation facilities and programs. The County’s residents are mainly young families with an average age of 36.2 years. It is also Canada’s largest oil refining complex and North America’s third largest petrochemical complex. Strathcona County has a projected annual growth rate of 4.3%. Click here for directions. Driving directions:From Calgary/South of Edmonton:Drive north on Highway 2 toward Edmonton. As entering City of Edmonton, stay to left on freeway and follow Anthony Henday Drive signs. Exit onto Anthony Henday Drive East (exits to right). Follow Anthony Henday Drive (eventually turns into 216) to Baseline Rd. exit. Take the Baseline Rd. exit east (right) into Sherwood Park. Follow Baseline Road to Sherwood Drive – turn left (Superstore on corner). Follow Sherwood Drive past Lakeland Drive, down hill and take first left at bottom of hill into Centennial Park. Stay right and follow park road around to the southwest corner parking lot. Please note, limited parking at park Parking at Millennium Place – follow Baseline Road to Broadmoor (2nd light in Sherwood Park). Turn left onto Broadmoor Drive and follow past Costco and past Lakeland Drive. Turn right onto Prairie Drive (7-Eleven) and turn right at yield sign; turn left into Millennium Place parking lot. Diamond is directly east of soccer fields. From Saskatchewan east of Sherwood Park:Drive west on Highway 16 to Broadmoor Blvd. exit. Follow signs to Sherwood Park (turn south onto Broadmoor). Turn left onto Lakeland Drive then left on Sherwood Drive. Follow Sherwood Drive down the hill and take first left at bottom of hill into Centennial Park. Stay right and follow park road around to the southwest corner parking lot.
